Professor Lucie Karayan-Tapon, PU-PH, medical biologist, is the Director of the PRODICET laboratory. She is in charge of the “Brain Tumors” group of the lab. She is the head of the Biological Oncology Unit of Poitiers University Hospital and the coordinator of the Molecular Genetic Platforms for Cancer labeled by the French National Cancer Institute. She is a member of CNU 47-02. She started her research in oncology studying the tumor suppressor gene p14ARF. She then specialized in the study of gliomagenesis and glioblastoma stem cell biology. More recently, she developed a similar approach to brain metastasis. She brings in the PRODICET lab her expertise in the biology of brain tumors, cancer stem cells, and tumor genetics.
