Professor David Tougeron, MD, Ph.D., is a gastroenterologist with an exclusive focus on digestive oncology and oncogenetics. He has nationally and internationally recognized expertise in colorectal carcinogenesis, especially microsatellite instability and anti-tumor immunity. He has set up several clinical trials in digestive oncology, especially in immuno-oncology. His translational research focuses on prognostic and predictive biomarkers of response to cancer treatments, such as microsatellite instability, circulating tumor DNA, and other molecular biomarkers. More recently, he has developed expertise in brain metastasis of colorectal cancers, including national cohort, translational research on prognostic biomarkers, and basic science research on carcinogenesis of brain metastases from colorectal cancer.
